DI - OPENING RECEPTION

Creative Managed

During Destinations International 2023 conference, Visit Dallas hosted the Opening Reception. We were tasked with creating this event from top to bottom and my team and I kicked around several themed ideas. I brought forth the idea to partner with the State Fair of Texas after seeing their fun 2023 commemorative theme and worked with them to secure their artwork elements that we used throughout the event. Working with AT&T Discovery District, event producers, designers, and vendors we created the large scale media wall graphics, backdrops, prizes, invites and other deliverables to make a mini State Fair of Texas. I largely produced the State Fair themed deliverables and the rest I creative directed.

(Please note that all the State Fair Individual Elements were provided! Everything was changed by myself and the team to fit the event. See their fun poster here)

MARGARITA MILE

Designed | Creative Directed

Dallas has a unique claim of the official home of the frozen margarita machine. Because of this, Visit Dallas had the opportunity to create a sub-brand in the form of the Margarita Mile. A self-guided tour of all the best margaritas across Dallas's diverse neighborhoods. Margarita Mile allowed me to expand on the brand and pivot my creativity. The gallery above showcases some of the campaign work I did, which included designing visually appealing promotional materials, crafting engaging social media graphics, and developing immersive website elements. I was also part of the team who created the Cinco De Mayo Happy Hour that we hosted live as a way to engage people during the pandemic where I designed the suite of motion graphics. The samples displayed here represent a range of visual styles and formats, highlighting my ability to adapt my creativity to different campaign requirements. I am proud to have played a role in enhancing the Margarita Mile experience and contributing to Visit Dallas's success.

LIVING MAGAZINE

Designed | Creative Directed

Living Magazine hired me as their Art Director in 2018 to rebrand their magazine. It was a huge change for the company and I really appreciated the opportunity to help them. After creating a demographic profiling, I went towards a more pastel palette that would be able to compliment the month and editorial theming. I had to find ways to make the editorial layouts that were versatile enough to be able to shift according to the varying page counts and configurations of their 16 different editions. You can see the editions I’ve worked on here (Aug 2018 - Present). To see more designs I did for Living Magazine please go here.

TOP FIFTY BBQ JOINTS PASSPORT - YETI

Designed | Creative Managed

YETI and Texas Monthly joined together for Texas Monthly's 2017's Top 50 BBQ Joint list and created the BBQ Passport. I suggested the idea to my manager after seeing a Texas passport in a little shop in Gruene, TX. The passport includes 10 challenges and on completion of a challenge, the prize is a YETI product. Our creative team came up with several options for designs and mine was chosen for the overall branding. The logo and map were finalized by our creative team and the challenge artwork by a freelancer, but the rest was created by me. The background for the cover was scanned from Austin's Franklin BBQ butcher paper. We then took that as our theming and injected it into all the collateral. It was a really successful and enjoyable marketing project making an interactive opportunity for the Texas Monthly readers.

Integral Hitch

Designed

This company came to me with the idea of some sort of link or "hitch" as a symbol and their name. I came up with the "I" and "H" coming together to make a link. It's a solid industrial look that compliments the strong company brand.
